I just got back from a busines trip to (among other stops) Amsterdam, where I used to live...so I'm fairly well acquainted with the small Croat community there.
In any case, I don't know if any of you have heard about about what happened...last Saturday, Thompson was scheduled to make his first appearance in Amsterdam. His website talked about how he has long wanted to play there. Plus, with people coming by bus from Belgium and Germany, there were 2000-4000 people expected to show up for the concert. The concert was scheduled for Saturday. On Thursday, the foundation renting the venue to the concert organizers cancelled the agreement saying that they didn't want any association with "artists who espouse extreme right-wing ideas" and cited the fact that he had used "Heil Hitler greetings" in earlier concerts.
An attempt to reschedule the concert to Rotterdam on Sunday was also blocked.
