yeah I agree with everything you've said I've been saying roughly the same thing for a long time on here. Population(human resources) is the biggest advantage any nation can have and Croatia's birth rate and population have both been going down for a long time(just like most Western European countries) thats why it would've been smart for the new leaders of the independant Croatia to invite diaspora Croatians back since there is almost as much of us outside of Croatia as there is in it. Israel always gladly accepts diaspora Jews looking to move back and help out in any way they can the state of Israel why the hell doesnt Croatia? bb I don't know your individual case im pretty sure you are moving back to Croatia because you wanna help out and be "svom na svome" you aren't going there to just only better your own interests and I doubt that the gov't has helped you out in any way? the thing is you are taking it on your own shoulders which is great but not everyone is capable or resourceful enough to do that so thats where the gov't should've stepped in and helped Croatians from the diaspora move back in larger numbers. I know Croatia has a lot of recovering to do after the war, 50 years of communism etc... but they should know that Croatians living world wide are the best solution to all its problems just encourage them to come back or at least dont view them as foriegners who were living easy in the west.
