Hell I would dearly love nothing more than to have Hrvatska do Drine and without any Serbs at all and all the rest!!!!!However one thing I know in life is that you need to get your priorities in life sorted out. The most important thing anyone could have delivered to Croatia in WW2 and now for that matter is- a meaningful and long lasting independant Croatian homeland. Those in charge failed! Like I said before it's nice to have Hrvatska do Drine and all the Ustase decree and policy in the world but do you have that all ANY/ ALL COST........??????? DEFINITELY NOT!!!!Especially if it puts the viability of the homeland (the most important thing) at risk. If your answer is YES than you are either stupid and incompatent or you would be putting your personal interest ahead of the homeland or someone elses interest ahead of Croatias. The same mistake was repeated by those Croats who espoused a breakaway Herceg- Bosna into Croatia. They made up all their plans and tactics before the war (all preconcieved and implexiable) instead of dealing with things on a case by case basis with ultimte goal of achieving a military and political victory????? Another case of counting the eggs before they hatch....naughty..naughty... Winning the cake should be the hardest thing to accomplish dealing with the spoils as victors is the easy bit! Like I said before I'll stick to what I said about Hrvatska Do Drine. As for the situation now/ today. From a personal point of veiw (should everything go to plan) I will be returning to Croatia for good in December. So I will be doing my little bit to help Croatia. --Previous Message--
Tomislav, I will always respect the fact that Ante Pavelic/ Ustase fought for an independant Croatian nation. I admire his courage to stick with his conviction and go against the grain at a time when everyone else did not support our freedom and couldn't careless about Croatia. I will always respect him becuase he had Croatias interest at heart which is the most important thing. I also admire most of the individuals/ rank and file involved in the Ustase movement and Croatian government in WW2, they also had Croatias best interest at heart and see them as heroes. However just becuase they are Croatian it does not leave them immune to criticism and it shouldn't stop anyone from looking back at their deeds objectively.
While in the subject of Ante Pavelic as a (leader)in charge of Croatia in WW2 he was very bad full stop.
In life you don't go into things with to many preconcieved ideas that are fixed and imflexiable. Whether it be dealing with people issues ect you judge everyone/ issue on their merits, and on what they DO rather than what they say. I'll conceed that much of the Ustase idealogy was pretty normal for that time and they thought they where doing right but, WIN THE WAR FIRST= (A MEANINGFUL AND LONG LASTING INDEPENDANT CROATIA)then worry about the spoils!!!!!!!!!!!
From a political point of veiw, Is Hrvatska Do Drine achievable now? It never is if it puts the future viabilty of the Croatian state at risk the answer is NO. It is achievable but it is a long way from becoming a reality. We need to continue to grow, we need more of our people to return to Croatia from abroad. If our population base continues to shrink than we have got know hope in hell. It's like someone weighing 150 kg and saying thier going complete a marathon. They need to start from the bottom and work extremly hard to get there. STEP BY STEP. Do all the little things right and the big things should fall into place!!!!!!!!
