Olethe boots are as comfortable as house slippers. .. but they've got a underslung heel for riding in oxbow stirrups. .. However, most people don't ride with oxbows. I don't know what they are, other than the shoes I'm wearing right now say 'Roper' across the heel. .. they're a lace up (ankle high), low heel riding sort-of-s leather tennis shoe. (?) for use on flat bottom stirrups. Another thing to consider is the amount of weight you put in your stirrups when you ride. Your weight should primarily be in your pelvis.. not in your stirrups. (if you ride western). By having your weight in your pelvis, it helps you stay seated better if anything should happen.
