is that since he was an abdominal pain he was triaged as a level 3. All emergency rooms have what they call a "fast track". it is for bull shit stuff that can be moved in and out in a hurry. they are triaged at level 4 and 5.. they should not be in the ER for the most part.. most part.. (fractures go there too) I feel sure since Ron was having abdominal pain he was having to go to the main ER and I bet there wasn't a bed available... it's an age old problem that really hasn't been answered. Most of these people don't have insurance and the dr's office's will not and do not have to take them as client's without up front pay, or insurance... Hospitals (ERs) can't refuse them.. there should be some way to be able to refuse level 4 and 5s.. at St. Anthony's where I worked if we had a level 5 the pt was asked to pay up front.. and most left.. but the ER I work at now doesn't do that.
