So we finally had a chance to get some better riding pictures today. I was trying out this new full cheek french link, it was fine but I don't think he likes it as much as the snaffle with the copper cricket (he likes to play with the cricket). So we were just testing it out here and so far so good with my saddle, since you are going to ride western I guess I'll try to us my saddle more than the stubben. Again I apologize for his dusty butt, the more I brushed it the dirtier it got

Still pretty cool out and Nellie was feeling spunky so we rode out in the pasture a bit. She is getting better and scrambling up and down these washes. 
she wasn't worried at all about heading out away from the other horses
just for perspective
We went over to visit our pony Beans and got some major squealing pony 'tude! (Nellie says, oh really, you think so?) 
It took some convincing to get Beans to move off
When she finally left she was a lot faster than Nellie
but Nellie tried
I'm pretty sure that was her version of a gallop, but felt more like a canter
Nellie is not going to win any races
She did think that was lots of fun
