"The Dawn's Early Light," a well documented and fascinating (I feel like I'm there) account of the War of 1812, actually 1814. I just started it and find it riveting. I hope to find encouragement that the weak, chaotic disconnect of American defenses at that time were eventually transformed into a united strength against the confident and cocky British. However, we did not have a communist-loving apologist for America occuping the U.S. Presidency at that time. If we are to survive, the heroes who galvanize us this go 'round will not emerge from this administration.
