I have a question about one of the concentration camps....

Ok so I recently visited and stayed in Terezin one of the many concentration camps. So my question is how much control did the prisoners have over themselves (such as the self government) and how much control was over them (by the ss troops)? Thanks to anyone who can help this confused girl....
