I learned this song in elementary school in the 60's and have always remembered it -- at least my version. The first part I know as the same and then I always sang: I want to wake up, in the orange groves, where the children used to roam...And go drifting back to Florida, where the orange blossoms grow.
Anyway--I've never forgotten this song, but haven't heard of it since, so I was delighted to see these messages when I finally decided to look it up!!! My best to all.
