DTC help required

Hi,
I am using DTC to transfer data through SCI_1(TXI) of H8S. I'm using normal mode. After transferring the specified bytes, I need to introduce a delay of about 2 seconds before transmitting the next block. Can this be removed? Have I missed setting some configuration? Please help.
