HEW 3.1 freezes

I've purchased EDK2378 with HEW3.1.
What happens is that HEW freezes for some 30 seconds, and sometimes hangs using 98% of CPU, and I have to kill it.
My machine has 1 GB of ram, and is an Athlon 3G with XP SP2. I don't see this using HEW2.1 with an EDK2377. In both situations I use Hitachi toolchain, but using IAR or GNU toolchains the problem is still here.
Any suggestion ?
