FDT DLL file

Hi there, I use the FDT toolbar in HEW3 to program my Tiny 8 3687 device.
Is it possible / has anyone been able to use the .DLL (presumably) in their own application to make a stand-alone programmer. FDT / HEW are a bit cumbersome.
