Posted by Henrik Gildå --Previous Message-- Yes, I've checked the jumpers several times, and also tried with the jumpers in other positions. The serial cable is a straight one, and it works great when I used it in the UART port for connecting to the monitor. I noticed that when using Protocol A I wasn't allowed to set the expected frequency of the EVB, so I tried changing to Protocol B. Then it seemed like I got a little further in the downloading process, but only so far as to clearing the flash (the monitor doesn't seem to be there anymore, no 'Linkup' on the UART port)... So now I have a clean flash, but can't program it... :/ Regards

Hi!
: Hi,
: May be stating the obvious but you
: are connecting the serial port from
: the PC into the correct SCI port on
: the EVB. For the EVB2623 this is
: SCI2.
: From the log file you have configured
: FDT to use the UPB (universal
: programming board) interface. This
: is the small board in the corner of
: the EVB. The log file would indicate
: that FDT is unable to communicate
: with this board. So, it might be
: worth checking that the jumpers on
: this board are set correctly, i.e.
: not in bypass mode.
: Also, the serial cable connecting the
: PC to the EVB should be the straight
: type and not twisted (NULL modem).
