The FDT2.2 default XTAL is 25MHz. If using FDT in direct connect mode ( This is the best way to use FDT ) ensure that the device is in boot mode!! Sounds obvious, but many people don't do this. Hope this helps. --Previous Message--

Roger,
The 3062BF is a B mask (0.35um) device. As such, use the protocol B.
Protocol A is for 0.6um devices and there is a fundemental difference between the FLASH 0.35 & 0.6 um technology.
This could be why you are having problems.
: Does anyone have any experience using
: FDT to program the H8/3062BF device.
: I'm working on a project and I'm
: trying to use FDT2.2 to program a
: 3062BF device. I'm not sure what I'm
: doing wrong, but FDT 2.2 refuses to
: connect. It gives a read timeout
: error when it tries to reset the
: interface. I am using protocol A,
: with a baud rate of 38400bps.
: Does anyone have any idea where I
: could be going wrong? Any advice
: would be welcome.
: Thanks,
: Roger Harper
