Hi, Apps notes 125, 113 and 130 from http://www.eu.renesas.com/support/app_notes/general_eu.html and http://www.eu.renesas.com/support/app_notes/h8s_eu.html These are not specifically for the IAR compiler but you should be able to addapt them. Watch out though for how IAR handles bit fields and associated padding as it is different to that of the Renesas and GNU compilers.
