Posted by Andy G A few points... (1) As Yash said, you have the two register addresses swapped. (2) "tope" (and also "i" ) are defined as "char" variables, so are only 8 bit locations and cannot hold 1000. Did you try Yash's program accurately, or did you still have the variables set as "char"? That would cause the flash to be briefer than expected and maybe invisible to the eye. Can you post the assembler that he compiler generates for main()?
