The RESO pin is used to ouptut a reset signal when the watchdog timer overflows provided that the WDT has been initialised to do so. I would suggest that you look at the WDT section of the hardware manual as this explains how to use this to reset other chips and the H8.
: Hello all,
: I would like to use the reset output
: "RESO" pin on the
: H8S/2144F to reset on-board
: peripherals. The pin is supposed
: to generate a local reset (active
: low) after the processor recieves
: its reset pulse, but it doesn't.
: The same is noticed on the EVB.
: Are there any configuration
: registers to set that I am not
: aware of?
: Thanks and Regards
