What is exactly A Mask in a EVB7045

Hi,
I need to know what is exactly A Mask.
This term appears in the Hitachi SH7040 Hardware Manual.
Section 15 High Speed A/D Converter (Excluding A Mask)
Section 16 Mid-Speed A/D Converter (A Mask)
I have a EVB7045 Evaluation Board, what type of microcontroller I have, A Mask type or Non A MAsk type?
Can I use both types of A/D converter, A Mask and Excluded A Mask, or I only can use one of these?
