i think the timeout dialogue box appears because the e8 has not finished being funny. i recommend to create a wait state=1 until e8 has completed funny joke. on completion of joke set wait state=0 and resume running or stepping over flash_swe. just be carefull when stepping over flash_swe, so you do not trip, as this will also cause running funtion to stop. possibly you can set running=0 and walking=1 when stepping, and then toggle back to running.
