: Have you configured FDT to use the
: correct
: frequency, ie 20MHz.

: Hi and thanks for the response
: You are correct it is not entering
: boot mode.
: But the suggestion you made of
: having
: MD1 and MD2 low puts it into mode 9
: which is not listed in the 2633
: hardware manual as a valid mode.
: what I think I need is mode 11 boot
: mode with advanced single chip mode
: i.e., MD0 and MD1 high, MD2 low and
: FWE high and then reset.
: See if you have any other
: suggestions
: I am messing with this with no clue,
: I can see the chip oscillator is
: working at 20Mhz but I cant flash.
: Thanks in advance

: Hi,
: The H8S device is not entering boot
: mode correctly.
: To put the device into boot mode the
: mode pins should be set as below.
: MD1 = 0
: MD2 = 0
: The FWE pin should be high and the
: device reset.
: If after checking these settings it
: still doesn't work make sure that Rx
: on the H8S is connected (via an
: RS232
: level shifter) to Tx on the PC and
: Tx
: on the H8S is connected (via an
: RS232
: level shifter) to Rx on the PC.

: I am using a prototype of my board
: with
: FDK3.1 with direct serial connection
: and am not able to connect, get the
: following message
: Connecting to device 'H8S/2633F' on
: 'COM1'
: Configuration: 'BOOT Mode'
: connection
: - using emulated interface
: Opening port 'COM1' ...
: Loading Comms DLL
: Loaded Comms DLL
: Initiating BOOT SCI sequence
: Attempting 9600
: Attempting 4800
: Attempting 2400
: Attempting 1200
: Error No 15024: Boot failed
: Unloaded Comms DLL
: I am using RX, TX and GND pins only.
: Any suggestions?
: I am pulling reset low,
: then pulling MD2 low and FWE high
: manually and taking reset high and
: starting the flash sequence with no
: result
: I can see RX trying to autoadjust
: going into RX pin SCI2 channel.
: There
: is no response on TX pin SCI2
: channel
: .
