Everything is related, so it’s all about mental toughness.” “I wasn’t going to go to my prom last year because of my AAU tournament,” she said. “The weekends where you have a game and everyone else is hanging out, I have to go home and sleep. “When everybody else wants to go and eat at a fast food restaurant, I’m like, ‘No, I have to eat healthy.’ It’s an extra amount of effort and an extra amount of focus that you have to put in when nobody else would even think twice about doing those things.” “If you’re successful, at the end of the game it’s a sigh of relief that all the extra work you put in was worth it,” she said. “Winning means a lot to me, as it does to a lot of people.
