    5A #2 Warren Central 30, 5A #4 Center Grove 13

Unbeaten Warren Central used a wide array of talented performers to put methodically put away MIC rival Center Grove 30-13 on the Trojans' home turf.

Late in the first quarter, with the score tied at 7, Center Grove was able to pin Warren inside their own 10 with the help of a clipping penalty but were unable to win the battle of field position as Warren, again methodically, drove down the field and Stephen Willis nearly capped off the drive taking off from CG's 35 and getting the ball inside CG's 10-yard line. An interception on their own 1-yard line saved a touchdown for the Trojans at the 7:20 mark of the 2nd quarter, but on the very first play from scrimmage Warren's defenders mauled the CG Bryan Dietel in the end zone for a safety. On the ensuing kick, the ball took a bad hop and Warren's returner was leveled and fumbled leading to CG recovery in Warren territory. On CG's first play, however, Warren recovered a fumble and found their way into the end zone at the 5:36 mark capping a near-three minute stretch of big plays that turned the tide of the game in Warren's favor. From their, it was the three-pronged running game of Bonds, Lacey and Willis shutting the door on the Trojans.

It will take a very strong team to knock off the Warriors.
