Since then some of the prophesies in the last category have come true. The Brahan seer prophecies are often written in poetic language, but in almost all cases, their meaning is straightforward and unambiguous. Not long ago I read an astrology book: the outer planets and their cycles by Liz Greene (1980), based on public lectures in 1979, which accurately predicted the break up of the Soviet empire, in very clear and unambiguous language.

Nostradamus is very good at predicting things that have already happened, but I have yet to see anyone successsfully interpret his prophecies to accurately predict future events. I remember people telling me that Gorbachev would bring about world war 3, because Nostradamus had said that the world would be destroyed by a man with a birthmark on his forehead.
