OK I know it was an old rant, but HH you really should consider ditching MS windows entirely. Switch to linux. In particular I'd recomended a version of linux called Mandriva 2006. The layout will be familiar to windows users and unless you use some really obscure bolt on bits of tech, (like the software controlled Goblin Teasmade with integrated CAT scanner and Astronomical Telescope), you should find all your devices work and equivalents to your windows based programs - office = open office, dreamweaver = Nvu, Photoshop = The Gimp etc etc.
