I had open surgery for an incarcerated hernia over the incision site of a complete hysterectomy almost a decade earlier. I tend to have keloid scars. The incision was stapled externally. The day after surgery the surgeon removed the bandaging and let me go home that evening. It is now 3 days post-op and I still have bleeding from the incision. It isn't alot, just enough spotting so that I had to put a gauze pad over it again to protect my clothes. The surgeon won't be available until mid-week. Should I have it checked in the ER or wait to see if it stops?
