Dear Hernia MD:
Back in September I contacted you concerning pain I've had now for over 3 years. I went to see Dr. Meyers on the advice of someone on the boards. Well, my appointment was not too great. The Doctor has requested I come back for a hip Arthrogram. He mentioned RSD as well. He did not see anything on the "super" MRI machine they use. But my Incarcerated Femoral Hernia and Inguinal hernia were also not detected by an MRI or C-Scan. However the whole area from my pubic area all the way to my right hip is swollen. This is the reason for his request for the hip testing. I have just had too many operations beginning with a hysterectomy in 2006 followed by gall Bladder, and then the double femoral and inguinal Hernias.
The Dr. said he will not do anything that has to do with nerves, which I understand, but really I am swollen and the pain is excruciating to the touch. I've been in pain management for three years. I've also tried everything else from acupuncture to shots to a "nerve zapper".
I am at a complete loss of what I can do. The pain is really just too much. If you have ANY ideas I would really appreciate them. I feel that no DR. wants to touch me given my surgical experiences and I'm completely at the end of my rope. And yes, I do see a psychiatrist. I do not believe it's RSD, or fibromylgia, but I really need help, so again any suggestions would be deeply appreciated.
Sincerely,
Tarajeanne
