Hernia MD:
My first question was related to the Pelvic CT Scan I had on 9/15/09. This question is related to the Pelvic MRI I had on 10/5/09. The MRI was before and after Gadolinium.
The Conclusion is as follows:
1. Slight prominence of the superior aspect of the left inguinal canal consistent with minimal fatty distention but no overt hernia.
2. The fat suppressed sequences demonstrate regional osseous elements and muscular structures to be intact.
3. No periintestinal edema or free fluid.
4. Right Inguinal Canal demonstrates increased signal within it without any distention suggesting there may be some fluid within the right inguinal canal.
5. There is no evidence for subcutaneous abscess or hematoma.
6. Findings are concordant with Pelvic CT Scan dated 9/15/09
I had a right Inguinal Hernia repair in 1996. What is this fluid they mention? What does the first conclusion mean (minimal fatty distention)? The same thing was said in the CT Scan. Also any other info you can share or explain would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks again, Joe.
