Post hernia op fluid hardening in scrotum

I'm 2 weeks recovering from laprascopic hernia surgery. My doctor and many internet chats have said extra fluid in the scrotum is normal and it could take months to go away. I originally thought that my testicle was swelling but its really fluid that has hardened and it is a very hard mass the size of an egg. Should i look into this or give it more time to try and dissolve. It just feels like this hard mass will never pass.
