I will need to have a repair fairly soon and want to make sure I make the right choice. I have researched both open and lap surgery and have viewed both on youtube.
With the lap approach I do not fully understand where the tacker is affixed---It seems that some surgeons put the tacker into Coopers Ligament where others put it into the bone. It would seem that if the tacker went into the bone to hold the mesh in place then this could create to much tension in the mesh.
I have read of problems about this so it is a concern for me--Anybody know anything about this---Rugbyfy
