I think this is a question to me. Dr. Goodyear did my surgery, and he removed the plug and mesh that had been installed. The plug had come loose, two nerves were trapped, etc. He repaired the hernia with an Ethicon Ultra Hernia System (two layers of mesh and a column of mesh between them -- do an image seach and you'll see). He also did a triple neurectomy (cut the three main nerves running through that area). I'm still in a lot of pain 7.5 months after the surgery, and I'm beginning to think the dual-layer mesh hernia system is a bad idea for me...
