I guess I'm somewhat in the same boat as you. I'm not in extreme pain but enough that it's becoming an annoyance. Having to go on everyday and wonder if the next cough is going to bug me or if I pick up something heavy and have the throbbing pain around the incision and things of that nature weren't exactly the visions I had of having a good repair.
I'm trying to not be overly negative about his latest assessment but popping drugs or seeing a pain specialist to manage the pain aren't my ideal courses of treatment.
I also worry about the bowel movements seeing as they started getting goofy around the same time things seemed to go bad after the repair. I was concerned they could be related but he indicated their not. He's a colorectal surgeon too so he's gonna have me try stuff out for that for now and report back in a month after taking the anti inflammatories.
Like I mentioned I have a 20 month old boy and another boy along the way and I'd like to be able to play ball or whatever without the worry of having anything bother me.
The leg pain, the coughing pain, the straining pain...I hope they can all be solved. I'd hate to have surgery again but if that's an option then I won't make much of a fuss about it. I'm 31 and don't want a throbbing testicle for the rest of my life. I poke around the net for solutions and sports hernia symptoms keep popping up based on my symptoms. I'm not a doctor so I'll let him run his course of treatment but I don't want to be spending months at a time getting this sorted out.
