I do know how difficult this process is... been there... I don't have strong opinions either way...
I know there are some who feel they can remove and replace the mesh without triple neurectomy. I talked to one before my second surgery who wanted to do that laparascopically, but that just seemed unrealistic to me. It's true that if your present pain is minor you don't want to trade that for more pain, and more surgical process could, I suppose, produce that result. Given you have a PHS, you have more than just mesh, though, and this needs to be taken into account. The best option, it seems to me, would be to find someone who's willing to do the surgery without preconceived ideas of what they will do -- i.e., who will get in there and see and deal with what the issues really are.
