I appreciate your response, Hernia MD, but that's what I thought. It didn't seem believeable. I used the cane again and got the same pain in the area of the incision. After needing the surgery after I began using the cane and then having pain at the former site of the hernia return right after I began using the cane again when I had not used it for a month, I can only assume its not a coincidence and the pain is caused by the use of the cane. I think somnehow it strains the core of my muscles at my stomach. I know it sounds impossible, but it did happen 3 times and I am convinced enough not to use the cane again, even if I do need it.
