Pain Almost Year Later

Been long time since I posted here. Had a bilateral inguinal hernia operation end of last April. All has been going well slight discomfort from time to time but nothing to worry about. Couple weeks ago I had a bad cough and it seems the pain has gotten a bit worse. If I sneeze or cough now I get pain in my groin region around the operation site. No bulges or anthing like that but pain. Had mesh placed could one of my coughing spells did something to the mesh placement? Someone told me that a friend had their mesh fail a year out. This had me worried a but the pain is mostly when I cough but there is mild pain at time just changing postitions.. Should I call my surgion or am I feaking out over nothing. Thanks..
