1st, thank you so much for your help.
the reason i was thinking about BHC is that i am not sure what i can afford here w/o full coverage. i may have to wait. the CT scan was suggested by my friend (he is MD GP who sees me for free), from his perspective as a test of exclusion bc he actually doesn't think it is a hernia.
but he is not a specialist and doesn't really know what it is. are you saying it probably is a hernia or i should just have a specialist diagnose it and he won't need a CT scan?
also, is there a particular procedure or a particular mesh (if one is used) that you would or would not recommend? i never had any kind of surgery (except circumcision) and all the negative stories i see about recurrent hernias and problems with meshes are scaring the hell out of me.
