Follow up question for Hernia MD

Thanks, will do. I had a follow up question: some doctors test for hernia using a finger in the inguinal canal, turning and coughing. Others, instead, just put their hand over the groin area and ask me to cough. What is the difference and which test is preferred? Thanks again.
