I had bi-lateral laposcopy surgey in june of 2008. Healing process was quick and easy. 4 months after in october I had a sharp pain in right lower side. I went to see my general doctor and he said there is no hernia. I increased my running and work out before this happen. So I did not run for about a month and I had no pain. I've been training for a marathon recent and increased my running again but slowly this time. I have the same pain right side but I think it is a little more severe. The pain goes into my testicle and my upper right inner thigh is very sore. I went to see my general doctor and he said no hernia. I have not lifted anything heavy, I've just increased my training running. The surgery was mesh and with metal tacks to keep the mesh from moving. If I get an MRI or CT Scan. It will probably show nothing. I am wondering if the mesh, tack or scar tissue is rubbing against a trunk nerve causing the pain in the testicle and inner thigh and lower abdominal. Because of the repetitive motion of running, can this cause a flare up. The surgeon said running is good and should not cause this. I believe it is a nerve getting pinched. Will a shot of cortesone relieve the pain. I do not want surgery again. By the way the left side only has tightness no annoying pain. What should I do, this is the second flare up in 8 months.
