My partner had open surgery on an inguinal hernia 5 days ago. They used mesh on it. She is a little bit panicky as it was her first surgery . What, if any, are the chances of the hernia re-appearing. She is also suffering from a irritable cough and she is worried that that may make it come back, or make her wound worse as she heals. Does anyone have any advice to make her feel more at ease?????
