but I have never heard of this issue and I did a lot of research. The only stats that matter are the ones from your specific doctor, forget this board, forget the internet - ask your dr the number of times they have performed this procedure and the number and types of failures. I stand by my opinion that I posted before, if one gets a great dr and one is in good shape, not super over weight, not a heavy smoker or drinker, etc there should be no reason not to come out with flying colors. To me the operation was a miracle, I could never go anywhere without my hernia poking out and causing discomfort - I had a real medical condition that needed to be corrected, it was not for looks. one also has to remember that this is a repair, nobody is doing gods work here and there will be some difference at the end of the day. the only diff in my case is that is someone looks very close under my hair they can see 2 our of the 3 very small dark puncture marks from the trocars, the one in the belly button is not noticeable. Other than this I am totally whole, I feel 110% like I did before this all happened. Find a good dr, that is the first step. unless the dr does 6+ a week I would pass - they should have an easy 1k in 3-4 years under there belt. if you have to fly to the best, you will be on a flight back the same day so who the heck cares.
