No that is good advice. Do not take the word of 'experts' as matter of fact. Read about and understand the procedures in advance. Become an 'expert' yourself. Most of all if the word of experts and 'official' studies goes against your own common sense, take warning. If the hernia is not causing a problem, why risk the complications of a surgery. My doctor did not mention testicular atrophy. Now I have to pay the price. It is my fault for not doing the research ahead of time, and following my own advice.
In the world, there is too much faith put in the testimony of 'experts'. The quintential example of this is the financial crisis. For the last 10 years or so all the financial 'experts' have been saying not to worry about debt. Do not worry that the US's manufacturing base is all going over seas. Do not worry that we have such a high standard of living when the preople around you really do not produce much of anything. Just keep watching sports on TV. Now we (really the USA) have to pay the price.
Do not trust someone to do the work you should be doing yourself. Study hard in school. Learn all you can about math and science. Stop watching MTV. Stop blindly thinking that whatever the 'experts' say is somehow handed down from 'on high'
