I had umbilical hernia surgey in sept. '05. Ever since the surgery, I have felt a hard lump(bumpy - not smooth) at the site of incision/hernia just under the skin. It seems to have gotten a little bigger over time and is visible at times because I am lean with thin skin. When I do certain abdominal exercises, it visibly protrudes out from the pressure. I recently went to my Dr. because I have been concerned. He told me it is either a cyst or scar tissue and nothing can be done about it. He said it's definitely NOT a new hernia. My question is: Is there anything that can be done about it? Thank you.
