Here is a post I did after my surgery, maybe it will help you. Best thing I did for myself in a long time. a lap in the hands of an expert is really great - a month out I felt totally whole, like nothing was done to me. 1000 in 18 years seems like a low number to me, my lady had 1800 under her in a decade
