I had Laparascopic surgery for an inguinal hernia 5 months ago. After the op i was in a lot of pain with a lot of swelling. one of my testicals then became very painful and i was taken back into hospital. after an ultrasound i found out that the artery supplying the testicle had been caught during the op and collapsed. Since then the testicle has shrunk and i remain in a lot of pain. it is surviving through other blood vessels going to the testicle but may not be enough and i could still lose it.
My advise would be to avoid Laparascopic surgery and go for the open. Longer recovery times, but less risky.
