Upcoming Surgery

I am scheduled to have surgery in a couple of weeks. This is for a small inguinal hernia, however, it has been more uncomfortable the last couple of months, therefore I have scheduled the surgery before it gets worse. This website has been very helpful, does anyone have any helpful hints as to what to do the day of the surgery or the first few hours after that can make healing quicker or easier to handle. As I am sure most of you do not look forward to this, neither am I but any tips would be much appreciated. Thank you!!
