I have been diagnosed with a bi laterl linguinal hernia and am schedued for surgery next week. My surgeon does both the lap and open methods and Im having problems choosing between the two. He said that doing the lap could mean complications for surgeons if i ever need prostate cancer surgery. I dont have a family history of prostate cancer but is it worth keeping the options open in case this is required in 30 years time?
