What about, at the patient's request and because of the intense pain 2 months post op, the patient would like to have the plug and patch removed.(and not wait a year)
What does a surgeon "find" at 2 months post op as far as scar tissue,etc. when removing a plug and patch? I would think "the sooner the better". Go in and do a proper repair, so as not to risk plug complications further down the road. I was told to go to Pain Management to start injections. Unfortunately Advil does nothing for my pain; I need to take 300mg of Ultram ER daily to be somewhat functional. Hernia MD; I value your expertise and recommendations.
