Plug Pain?

Aside from the normal discomfort and groin pain from an open inguinal hernia using a Bard Plug and Patch, I am also experiencing muscle aches in my stomach and abdomen. (At times I feel like I've done 500 sit-ups.) Can this all radiate from the plug or did they miss what could have been a second hernia? I am 6 weeks post op and still on pain meds!
