Part of My intestines have dropped down into my scrotum sac. I assume that this means my intestines have pushed through my right side internal ring, is this correct? Does this mean that the internal ring has to be plugged with a mesh plug device? I have seen the Prolene Hernia System and I can't picture how it would be placed to keep my intestines from pushing through the internal ring again. Could you please describe where PHS would be placed and how it would be secured in place to keep my intestines out of the internal ring area?
Also, I looked at Ethicon's catalogue and I could only find an UltraPro mesh and no mention of an UltraPro Hernia System.
Can you please give me the name and phone number of a general surgeon or hernia specialist in the Fort Lauderdale or South Florida area who is experienced in using the PHS? I want to have an open repair done to avoid the risks of general anesthesia.
