Basic info, bi-lateral open surgery in early february this year. Left side was supposedly a very big hernia.
Went back in late april , because I could feel a 'popping' sensation when pushing on the area. This is where it's weird, you can push down and feel a firm pop, but upon coughing or bearing down nothing comes out
Surgeon ordered a CT scan w/ contrast and did extra cough tests. Says he went over the CT side by side with the radiologist. Says that CT is negative and he doesn't feel a mass when I cough or any bulging outwards. The healing ridge is still there though and quite firm and still tender.
He did feel the popping in sensation when you push directly on the healing ridge, and says its related to the sutures that he uses, and it should resolve, if not he can 'go back in'. But insisted its not a hernia
Is he B.S'ing me? If need be I'll go get a second opinion but Hernia Doc, does your BS meter go off on this one?
