First I would like to thank you for your time and committment to this board.
I had my Iliopsoas Bursa Injection with lidocaine and steriod two days ago. It made the back of my leg and knee numb, but nothing for the groin or hip pain.
This is my question: I spoke with the Radiologist that did my injection, and he felt that I should have probably have had a Nerve block at L1,2,3 to hit the groin nerves instead of the block that I had 2 years ago at L4,5, S1. In your experience am I better off having a block at the spinal level, or go for blocks at the Ilioinguinal, Iliohypogatric, and Genitofemoral nerve and possibly the Femoral, given the lateral thigh pain that presents like Trocanter Bursitis?
Again all the pain is Always a Burning sensation, dull ache, or sharp. Sometimes it occurs like I've been hit with a baseball bat in the groin (pubic bone/inguinal ligament area), or the side of the thigh.
Thank you again for the responses and time you dedicate.
